Germantown Hills
Germantown Hills and Metamora Subdivisions:
Germantown Hills and Metamora are....for lack of a better word...sister sisters that are about 15-25 minutes outside of Peoria. Both are off of Route 116 traveling north from East Peoria. Metamora is the main post office location for both Metamora as well as Germantown Hills. As such every home in Germantown Hills has a Metamora mailing address.
Germantown Hills is the first town you come to along the journey. Located atop the bluffs, some homes have a river view while most of them are on the flatter plateau. Rural residential describes most of the subdivision settings. Click here for information on the elementary and middle schools in Germantown Hills. Germantown Hills and Metamora share the same high school, Metamora Township High School

Far Hills
Far Hills is the first subdivision you'll encounter once you crest the bluff along Route 116/ Cat Trail. While there aren't any new constructions here to speak of, the subdivision offers some nice wooded and established offerings with homes in the $150-$250K ranges. The roads for the most part follow a ridge line so many of the rear yards are heavily wooded and in a lot of cases offer ravine privacy. For a map click here! - CLICK HERE TO SEARCH
The stoplight....Germantown Hills has two of them. If you found three...well....I don't know where the heck you are. Call me! For a map click here!
When you approach the first one you'll see the Jubilee Grocery Store and strip mall to your left and a few stores to your right. This is big as the commercial development gets in Germantown Hills, which for a lot of people is the draw. If you turn left on Woodland Knolls and follow it to N. Forrest Drive, turn right and about half a mile down the road you'll find Thornridge Subdivision.
Thornridge
Thornridge Subdivision offers a esthetically gated entrance to a subdivision with homes ranging in price from the upper $200's to upper $300's. Ranches and two story homes average around the upper 2,000 and lower 3,000 square foot range. Coventry Farms
Conventry Farms has many different phases and is currently on its final phase where there still lots to choose from. On the northern edge of the area in between Germantown Hills and the town of Metamora you'll find ...Maceys Lake and Cedar Creek. Unfortunately, the two subdivisions that could best use a map link, can't be linked at the time of this writing. So...in our quest to make sure you don't get lost on our account, here's how to get to Maceys Lake. From Route 116, go north on Fandel Rd to the "T", turn right on Sante Fe Trail, then left on Lordes Church Rd, then left on Grebner-Maceys will be up the road to the right. To get to Cedar Creek, follow the same route to Sante Fe Rd, and continue east until you see the Cedar Creek subdivision entrance on your right.

It's not as large of a lake as White Oak Lake, but offers something a little different than some of the other subdivisions.
Cedar Creek offers up some impressive sized homes on generous sized lots. Home prices are typically in the $400's and $500's. There are still some vacant lots left and an occasional spec home, but the subdivision is nearing its completion. Set apart from other subdivisions, it offers a nice escape from any hustle and bustle.
