Dover Pointe

Dover Pointe Subdivision is home to over 200 homes priced from $250,000 to over $300,000. It was one of the newer subdivisions built in the Dunlap area a few years ago. There are no new builds available but there are many outstanding resales that come on the market from time to time. Having lived here with my family for a few years, we are fortunate enough to learn about potential houses that may be coming on the market. Because it was one of the earlier subdivisions, it is able to boast lot sizes that are a little larger than most, as well as more square footage than their new construction counter parts. It's also located in Dunlap's newest elementary school, Hickory Grove.

There is a wide range of different single family styles, from ranches to two stories. There is a creek that runs through the middle of the subdivision, so almost all of the homes back up to the creek, have the added bonus of mature trees and often a walk-out basement. It's bordered by Wilhelm Road on the south and Allen Road on the west. (Interesting little side note-Wilhelm Road is the post office dividing line for Dunlap and Peoria mailing addresses.)

Dover Pointe is located on the north side of Wilhelm, so it has a Dunlap mailing address, while everything to the south of Wilhelm, has a Peoria mailing address. Dover Pointe is in the city of Peoria, with a Dunlap mailing address, and in the Dunlap school district. Dover Pointe is across from Wynncrest Subdivision to the west, Chapel Park Subdivision to the south, and Hickory Grove Subdivision on the north side.
