Hunters Trail Estates is a newer upper-end development in the Dunlap area. It's actually within the city of Peoria, in the Dunlap school district with a Dunlap mailing address. It's bordered by popular Rock Island Trail on the south edge of the subdivision, near the newer bridge that has been built on Wilhelm Road, and about half a mile west of Allen Road. It is also accessible from the south by driving north on Radnor Road to Wilhelm. There is a restriction in the covenants that requires three sides of every house to be covered in brick and or stone, which gives the neighborhood a nice look as your drive through it. The majority of homes back up to trees either on the south near the trail, or a creek on the north side. There are a number of different builders that have built in this neighborhood, which goes a long ways towards providing a variety of different home designs to choose from. There are only a few lots left and once those are sold the subdivision will be complete. No new phases will be added. Because the subdivision is within the city of Peoria, all homes have public water and sewer, as well as the city of Peoria fire and police protection. The Shoppes at Grand Prairie are just 10 minutes away and downtown Peoria is about 20 minutes away depending on which route you take to get there. The Caterpillar Mossville facility is about 15 minutes away. There are a number of great shopping and dining options, health clubs, golf courses and entertainment facilities within just a few minutes drive.
