There are three Stonegate subdivisions in central Illinois, one in Washington, one in Groveland, and one in Dunlap. The subdivision I would like to talk about here is the one in Dunlap, which is actually in the city of Peoria, but has a Dunlap mailing address, and is in Dunlap school district. Confused? Good-let's move on. :) This great little subdivision isn't actually so little. It has some beautiful homes that are being built by Signature Homes and Ironwood Homes. There is also a new park that has been developed that sits between the Stonegate Subdivision and the nearby Wynncrest Subdivsion. Stonegate is bordered on the south by Wilhelm Road, however the developers had the foresight to build a large landscaped berm that helps hide the road a little bit from the homes on Emerald that back up to Wilhelm. All of the homes are spacious in design and the lots are noticeably larger than the other subdivisions around it. There are also plenty of cul-de-sacs in this neighborhood, many of which have an access sidewalk to the park, that is located on the north side of the neighborhood. The Stonegate Subdivision sits between the Copper Creek Subdivision to the west, Wynncrest Subdivision to the east, and Stonehenge Subdivision to the south. The newest elementary school in Dunlap is the Hickory Grove Elementary school and this subdivision is a part of that, as well as the Dunlap Middle school.
