The Knolls....what can we say about The Knolls that hasn't already been said a million times before. Located between Knoxville Ave and Sheridan Road, just north of War Memorial Drive, The Knolls is a subdivision that was originally built with character, and has only gotten better with time. Although it is at the intersection of a few of the area's busier roads, we can't help but imagine the original developers had that in mind when they designed the many winding streets throughout the subdivision. If you think you are going to cut through the neighborhood to get to the other main road-think again. You'll spend more time finding your way around than you will saving time. But what a great neighborhood to get lost in. Mature trees, homes with a lot stone and brick, meandering roads, a few little green space parks sprinkled about. The homes were all built for the most part between 1930 and 1960. This subdivision belongs to the Peoria Central High School, Thomas Jefferson and Columbia middle and elementary schools. It is also a popular spot for the Peoria Christian School, St. Philomena elementary school and Notre Dame High School. If you can't find what you are looking for within a 5 minute drive from this neighborhood, you probably don't need to get it. :) Centrally located in the very epicenter of Peoria.
