Wynncrest is a fun neighborhood. Any developer that has the guts to name a street Sesame Street because it is next to an elementary school gets a thumbs up in my opinion. :) And that's exactly what they did. This subdivision is built primarily by 2 builders, Signature Homes and Ironwood Homes, as well as a share by another builder Stelle Homes. We've worked quite a bit with all three builders in this neighborhood. They get our stamp of approval as a builder you can trust to build your next home. We have many satisfied clients and friends that live here. We would be happy to provide a long list of names and numbers if you would like to ask them first hand how they like their homes and Wynncrest Subdivision.
There are really two price ranges of homes in this neighborhood. There are some smaller lots along Sesame Street and School Street that have homes with two car garages and prices under $300,000. The rest of the subdivision are typically in the mid $300,000 range. These higher priced homes offer three car garages, more square footage, and finished basements for the most part. The subdivision is bordered by Allen Road to the east, Wilhelm Road to the South, and part of Stonegate Subdivision to the west. The majority of the neighborhood is bordered by a new park that sits in between Wynncrest and Stonegate Subdivisions. For the parts of the subdivision that board Allen Road and Wilhelm Road, the developer had the forethought to build large landscaped berms that help shield the subdivision from the streets. On the north side of the subdivision is Dunlap's newest elementary school, Hickory Grove Elementary. This neighborhood has a Dunlap mailing address, is in the Dunlap school district, but is within the city of Peoria.
