Local Information

Washington

One can't mention Washington without bringing up a mixture of the old and the new. From the historic town square that hasn't lost its character over the past century, to the new 5 Points Community Center , which offers a new library, performing arts center, sports center, aquatic center, and banquet facilities. Washington is a community that is just that-a community. You''ll find good schools, quaint shops, nice neighborhoods and about a 10-15 minute commute to Peoria.

The north side of Washington, Il, has recently exploded with a number of new subdivisions as well as new additions to existing subdivisions that offer many options in every price range.

Northwyck, Bristol Park, Deer Ridge, Oak Creek, and Hunters Glen are all situated congruent to each other on the north side of Route 24 off of Cummings Rd and/or Nofsinger. Two nice features with these subdivisions is their proximity to Route 24 and the Oakridge Public Park which is within walking distance from any of them. Located at the end of North Cummings, Oakridge Park is home to a youth soccer program, three ball fields, JFL field, restrooms, playground area, and maintenance facility.
