Local Information

Dunlap

Dunlap is an area located just north of Peoria. That's the easy definition. Really it is an area that is largely defined by their popular school district. There are homes and subdivisions within the Dunlap school district that may have a Dunlap address, but could possibly have an Edwards or Peoria address as well. While there is an actual town of Dunlap, which is home to the high school. two middle schools and one of the elementary schools, part of the city of Peoria is also in the Dunlap school district.

The Dunlap school district is a big reason for a lot of the new construction growth that has taken place over the recent years. As such we would like to provide the following links below that you may find interesting!

The Rock Island Trail is also a popular jogging and biking trail that goes through the town of Dunlap! It's accessible at many areas along the trail and connects to a series of trails that continue all the way to the Peoria river front!

There are many wonderful subdivisions to choose from within the Dunlap school district. Caterpillars Mossville facility is nearby as well, in many cases about 5-10 minutes away. While most of the Dunlap area is considered to be north of Route 6, there area also pockets of the school district that are south of Route 6 as well as along the western edge of Peoria near the Shoppes at Grand Prairie Mall.  Our children attend the Dunlap schools and we have had a very positive experience every step of the way!
